WHO WE ARE
Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Manenete Collective is vibrant youth initiative under the Etio-Canadian Azawent Association. Launched in April 2024, this program is designed to connect Ethiopian and Eritrean youth with their cultural roots through fun, engaging, and educational experiences.

From exploring history and language to celebrating traditional food and clothing, Manenete dives into meaningful topics in ways that resonate with young people. Programming runs year-round, with special highlights and activities during the summer months.

We welcome youth from all backgrounds to join us in the learning, growing, and celebrating our rich heritage together.
